Will You Survive A Natural Disaster?

Will You Survive A Natural Disaster?

Natural Disasters we know can happen anytime and anywhere. They can strike us without a warning. For example, it could be a hurricane, tornado, and earthquake, tsunami, a worst a fire outbreak. When it does happen, are you prepared to survive a natural disaster? Statistics show that most people are not prepared at all. The chances of a natural disaster happening in your city or town in your lifetime is pretty high that it is important that you educate or train yourself in the art of survival.

How do you prepare yourself and your loved ones for a natural disaster?

Below I have listed four things that you can do as soon as possible to start preparing to survive any natural disaster.

1. Do research on survival techniques and strategies.

Simply, read up on any material on survival tactics and techniques. You’ll be surprised, just reading up on a few books and courses on survival will give you a foundation of knowledge that can help you when a disaster happens.

2. Do you have the best survival gear?

Very important that you put together a survival gear checklist. Make sure you have at least the basic essentials on hand, and that you are very familiar with how to use them. What good is it to have the best survival gear if you don’t know how to use it. You’ll be surprised by how little gear you really need to stay alive in a disaster, as long as you have the BEST survival gear.

3. Stock up on emergency food and water supplies.

In most survival situations, your biggest danger is running out of clean water and/or having nothing to feed yourself and your family. Fortunately, stocking emergency food and water supplies is not that hard. All it takes is very little effort if you’re stocking the right food supplies. I mean stocking long-term food storage, and light weight emergency food kits. It is important to make sure that you properly store your water in the right kind of barrels. Proper water storage containers and filters should be at the very top of your survival gear checklist

4.Learn how to protect yourself and your family.

Disaster preparedness must be a collaborative project for the whole family. Every member must know the details of the plan. Keeping everybody informed and trained will ensure the family’s safety. A lot of survival training videos can be found on the internet.

These are just a few things that you can do to prepare yourself to survive a natural disaster. But this is only the tip of the iceberg. There is so much more that you need to know.
